G - Graphics On/Off
This will determine the ansi graphic setting on entry to the
program. With ANSI on, cute colorful menus will appear, but
can be viewed as slow for power users.
H - Menu Hot Keys On/OFF
This option allows you to select the method of using the OpXpress
menus. Menu Hot Keys is the SINGLE LETTER input without the need to
hit a carriage return. In addition, no correction is allowed once a
letter is hit. When the Menu Menu Hot Keys is off, you have to hit
the menu character followed by a carriage return. In the off state,
an empty input line <CR> will return you to the previous menu.
I - IBM Characters. Currently Disabled.
M
NEX - These options will change the Xpress menus. There are three levels
of menus.
Novice mode - Display the full detail menu.
Expert mode - Displays just the valid keys, time and prompt.
GX mode - This is an advanced level with very little
display. GX (Gold Xpress) is an advanced
communication product by Santronics Software.
It will turn Silver Xpress into a videotext
system.
R - Reader Password
You may define a password for the reader. If you do define a
password, then when the reader opens up the mail, it will prompt
you for the password before any more processing is done.
M
D - Door Password
You may define a password for the door. If you do define a
password, Xpress will prompt you for the correct password before
it will allow you to enter.
